Accepting Applications: Apply to be a 2013 LOTT Mentor

If we're to believe the wave of recent articles in magazines and newspapers, women can't have it all. But what exactly does it mean to have it all? And is that what any woman (or man) really wants? If you've been able to clarify your responses and are interested in providing support to another young woman who is seeking answers in this time and context, consider applying to be a 2013 Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) Mentor. Applications are due by Friday, September 14, and more program details follow below.

Apply to be a 2013 LOTT Mentor

If every woman gave her time to help another woman find her leadership voice, what kind of world would it be?

LWV Minnesota's Leaders of Today and Tomorrow (LOTT) Fellows Program inspires collegiate and emerging professional women to become active citizens and to envision themselves as future leaders. The LOTT Program brings together women from diverse backgrounds to create collaboration under the belief that women's leadership is different and necessary. We work on developing complete leadership, providing skills that can be used professionally and personally.
We are currently seeking talented professional women mentors for the 2013 LOTT Fellows Program. The program runs from February through April and includes one-on-one mentoring and leadership workshops. The mentor time commitment is approximately once a month, with most meetings with their mentees scheduled on their own time.
The LOTT Program matches young women with mentors who can challenge their abilities, provide resources in their development and serve as role models. LOTT mentors are not only career coaches, they are selected based on their abilities to connect with young women and provide leadership development.
Mentorship is essential to developing women's leadership throughout our community, and without willing mentors, the LOTT Program would not be effective. If you, or someone you know, is interested in becoming a LOTT mentor or learning more about the program, please visit www.lwvmn.org/lott for more information and instructions on how to apply.
The LOTT program is a great leadership development opportunity for young women, and an opportunity for experienced professional women to share their knowledge and develop the next generation of women leaders!
