You're Invited | Affirming Authenticity: Identity-Driven Leadership [at Work]

Through the pursuit of stronger connection and purpose, LOCUS aims to create a community that welcomes and supports all. Join in for the second panel discussion in the Affirming Authenticity Series for women of diversity, a three-part conversation that explores identity-driven leadership at home, in the workplace, and for yourself!

Affirming Authenticity: Identity-Driven Leadership [at Work]
Thursday, April 24, 2014
5:30pm - 7:30pm
Rondo Community Outreach Library
-----------------------------------------
Has there ever been a time when you’ve felt  “different” in your workplace because you did not fit the mold of the dominant culture?  Do you ever feel the need to work twice as hard as others to demonstrate that you have the skills and intellect to advance in the workplace? Many women of diversity find that their professional aspirations and environment are in conflict with their personal values and practices.

Join us for a stimulating conversation with Terra Cole, Executive Director of Heritage Park Neighborhood Association, and Sahra Noor, Director of Community Health and Language Services at University of Minnesota Medical Center, Fairview. We will discuss how women of diversity can continue to leverage their unique assets in order to excel in the workplace.
Light refreshments will be provided.

Save the date for the final event in the three-part "Affirming Authenticity: Identity-Driven Leadership" Conversation Series:
  • Affirming Authenticity: Identity-Driven Leadership [for Yourself] on May 13, 2014 from 5:30pm - 7:30pm at Rondo Community Outreach Library
