You're Invited: Teens and Sexuality - What's new beyond the birds and the bees?

Most of us are happy to never revisit our teenage years again, thankful to have simply made it past that awkward and challenging time of adolescence. But what are the kids up to these days, and how does that foreshadow what issues our communities and state will face in the years to come? The Minnesota Public Health Association is exploring "The Teenage Experience" in their 2012-2013 policy series, and the first forum in this new year centers on Teens and Sexuality - What's new beyond the birds and the bees? See below for more details and to save the date!


Our 2012-2013 policy forum series, "The Teenage Experience," explores topics related to growing up teen in today's world.  At this second forum for the year panelists and participants will focus their discussion on teenage sexuality. Topics will include encouraging healthy social relationships, the role of social media as a contact point, the controversies surrounding the HPV vaccine, and the rise of sexually transmitted diseases among teens. Please plan on joining MPHA colleagues and friends as we explore:

Breakfast will begin at 7:00am.
The cost of the forum is $8 for MPHA members, $15 for non-members and $5 for students.

There will be plenty of free parking.
