More urgently, though, they request nominations for a River Steward Honoree and am Emerging Leader Honoree. River Stewards Luncheon annually recognizes individuals and organizations that have uniquely contributed to the health and vitality of the Mississippi River. In addition, money is raised to help cultivate the next generation of River Stewards in the form of a graduate student internship, Research Assistant in Practice, in partnership with the University of Minnesota's College of Design.

Please save the date and join us on December 5, and submit a nomination to recognize a River Stewards or Emerging Leader honoree through September 17.

Please join The Minneapolis Foundation's Fourth Generation Fund on September 17th to help us kick-off our fifth year of grantmaking!  All guests in attendance will have the opportunity to vote on the topic they find the most compelling and this will set the focus for the year!

WHAT:  Learn about Fourth Generation + The Minneapolis Foundation, meet good people, share delicious food, vote on this year’s grantmaking topic!

This past June the Fourth Generation Fund made $38,000 in grants to four organizations addressing issues faced by immigrant populations in the Twin Cities. Those organizations were: 
- The Karen Organization of Minnesota
- The Minnesota Literacy Council
- The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota
- The International Institute of Minnesota

We have an exciting year coming up for our YNPN Twin Cities chapter. You'll connect with a group of smart, passionate, engaged fellow board members around shared work you all believe in. Expect new friends.
