You're Invited: 2013 Nobel Peace Prize Forum

Give peace a chance this weekend at the 25th annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum, "The Power of Ideas: People and Peace," in Minneapolis. Open to the public, the Forum is a unique civic learning experience with a mission to inspire peacemaking by celebrating the work of Peace Prize winners. See below for more details about the visionary leaders who will be in attendance and the kinds of conversations this dynamic, global event will effect. Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with us!

The 25th Annual Nobel Peace Prize Forum is happening on March 8-10 in Minneapolis! As the only conference of its kind sponsored by the Norwegian Nobel Institute, the Forum is a unique, multi-day event that brings professionals, academics, and students together to celebrate the work of Nobel Peace Prize winners and the achievements of other leading peacemakers in human rights, business/economics, health & science, and the arts. This year’s program is the biggest and most dynamic in the Forum’s long history, with a list of visionary speakers that includes Nobel Peace Prize laureates Muhammad Yunus (“Father of Microcredit”) and Tawakkol Karman (Yemeni journalist/activist); global health experts Paul Farmer and Malcolm Potts; and hip hop artists Brother Ali and Omar Offendum.

The 2013 Forum is comprised of four different events, each of which has a separate ticket:
March 8: Business Day
March 9: Science & Health Day
March 9: Hip Hop and Peace with Brother Ali & Omar Offendum
March 10: Global Day
All programming takes place on the campuses of Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota West Bank, and each day is ticketed separately ($10 for students, $40 for the general public).
