You're Invited: LIKE: Seven Rules and 10 Simple Steps for Social Media in Your Campaign (for Politics, Business or Otherwise)

Many professional leadership development programs include group projects as part of their curriculum to allow participants an opportunity to hone their interpersonal and teamwork skills. Shorter program timeframes of 6 months or less than a year, however, can often lead to a stunted ability for program participants to develop projects with much depth or that create lasting change.

I therefore count myself lucky to have been in a group with other 2006-2007 Humphrey Policy Fellows that resulted in cooperation with the Citizens League and launched its still-vibrant Students Speak Out initiative. And that's why I'm highly impressed that several Fellows from this past year's cohort have managed to write and publish a book about leveraging social media for social change!

Next week, The White House Project will help showcase Policy Fellow Kelly Groehler in a workshop on strategic application of social media and online engagement. What's not to like?
