Be someone: Register for the Citizens League Civic Celebration!

The Citizens League annual Civic Celebration takes place next week, as the League kicks off its 60th Anniversary program! Free and open to the public, you're invited to attend as well as to get involved by being someone to the League and to Minnesota.

Look around you. How's your Minnesota doing these days? Tired of all the finger-pointing and excuses that have replaced solutions and progress? Wish someone would just fix it? You're someone. Get involved. Join us at our Civic Celebration!

Welcome Reception 5:30pm | Program 6:30pm - 7:45pm
We hope you'll join us for our upcoming Civic Celebration and Annual Meeting on
Wednesday. November 9th at the Nicollet Island Pavilion.

At the event, we're going to focus on how the Citizens League offers people a new and better model for civic engagement and policy impact, even in our politically polarized and policy-challenged environment. We think the opportunities for policy innovation, entrepreneurship - and being part of the solution in Minnesota - are tremendous. We know the challenges certainly are.

As we prepare for our 60th Anniversary in 2012, the issues on the Citizens League's agenda - from Minnesota's budget, to long term care financing, to poverty, to higher education and regional governance - matter enormously to Minnesota's future. Our Civic Celebration is an opportunity to learn more about these issues and to celebrate our shared accomplishments.

As always, the Civic Celebration and Annual Meeting is:

  • Free, with a reception before and after the meeting.
  • Welcoming to non-members. Every year, at least a third of the attendees are non-members.
  • Interactive and social. A great way to meet your friends in the Citizens League and the community as a whole.

Register Now

Don't forget to bringing your friends, family, peers - and anyone you'd like to (re)introduce to the Citizens League.

Sincerely,
Sean Kershaw
