[Minnesota Rising Dispatch] September 2022

[#mnrising Dispatch] September 2022

The start to the school year, the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Fall Equinox, and Rosh Hashanah all mark new beginnings. Transitioning to a different season and to a new year provides an opportunity to ask ourselves what no longer serves and can be left behind. In this shedding and letting go, space is created to allow new rhythms, embodiment, and insights to arrive and become integrated. May it be so. "Because your future isn't bound by your past." Shanah Tovah!

Entrepreneur-ship 4 Good

Part graduate course, part online accelerator, this program is designed for those who are starting or hoping to start a new mission driven venture. It uses a cohort learning model convening 6-10 people over 9-10 weekly sessions. Each class session is live, online for 2 hours. Based on the content of the lean start-up graduate courses taught by the lead instructor, Terri Barreiro, the series goes deep into all the best practices for an effective social venture business plan. The result for you will be a deep understanding of how to launch or expand your specific business! The 2022 Fall Cohort will run October 19 - December 14, 2022. Applications due October 3. Attendees will hear from civic leaders on how we can shape the future of civil rights and access. Code Switch is a civic ideathon in which community members work on data and technology projects to create positive change. Techies AND non-techies are welcome — entrepreneurs, artists, educators, developers, business professionals, and concerned residents. Projects can use coding, data, storytelling, and more! Ideas and solutions can be proposed by anybody (yes, anybody). You don’t need a detailed plan, only a desire for change. This year’s theme is Revisioning Access, Advocating for Our Rights.
