[Minnesota Rising Dispatch] February 2022

[#mnrising Dispatch] February 2022

Our local and global communities are reeling from conflict and violence over the past few weeks. In the Twin Cities, we are deeply aggrieved by the shooting and killing of Amir Locke by a Minneapolis police officer. Globally, the Russian military invasion of Ukraine has resulted in displacement and a growing humanitarian crisis. Near or far, community turmoil, loss of safety, and ultimate disregard for the lives of others causes rupture and disconnection. To think locally and act globally, consider supporting African American Leadership Forum in their mission to improve the lives of African Americans in Minnesota by building a cross-sector network of leaders and institutions that convenes, collaborates, and champions solutions. To reach across borders, learn how to assist those in Ukraine by supporting organizations providing relief to people in conflict-affected areas. May we remain resilient in our efforts to wage peace.
