[Minnesota Rising Dispatch] February 2020

[#mnrising Dispatch] February 2020

February 29 reminds us this Leap Year is one filled with unique days and events that will impact each of us and our communities for the long-term. 2020 marks the Decennial United States Census and Presidential Election, and as we transition from honoring Black History Month into recognizing Women’s History Month, it’s clear that all of our intersectional histories compromise U.S. history and should inform our shared future.

To that end, learn more about preparing for a complete count of our communities, including Census Day on April 1. Make sure you vote early or have your plan in place to make your voice heard in Minnesota’s Presidential Primary Election on Tuesday, March 3. And celebrate International Women’s Day 2020 in any number of places locally.

Happy Leap Day, and may it inspire you to make your mark in those most unique and important of years!
