2019 Facing Race Awards

The Saint Paul & Minnesota Foundations invite you to celebrate the 13th annual Facing Race Awards, honoring Rev. Gloria Roach Thomas and Tuleah Palmer, two individuals courageously working to eliminate racism and its effects in Minnesota. The event will take place at the InterContinental Saint Paul Riverfront hotel on Thursday, September 19 and will include a special performance by ShapeShift. This year's keynote speaker is Ruth Buffalo, whose election in 2018 made history as she became the first Native American woman elected to North Dakota’s legislature, overcoming an opponent who had passed a voter ID law that made it harder for Native Americans to vote.
