Increase Engagement in the Classroom and Workplace

How can the humanities bring to life the stories of people and place?

Facilitated by Robin Nelson and Heid E. Erdrich, participants in this workshop will learn how to increase engagement with their communities through the practice of the core values of the Absent Narrative Approach:
  • Build and strengthen relationships;
  • Recognize the power of story and the consequences of an accumulation of absence;
  • Learn from community voices; and
  • Discover community-based solutions.
Date: Saturday, September 20, 2014
Time: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Location: Minnesota Humanities Center
Cost: $90 per person, includes breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, and materials
CEUs: 8 clock hours upon request
