This Saturday, June 14 the brand new Green Line will launch connecting Minneapolis and St. Paul via Light Rail. The Metropolitan Council has partnered with the Central Corridor Funders Collaborative, and communities and businesses surrounding the line to host a series of events on launch day. Following 9 a.m. speeches and ceremonial ribbon cutting at Union Depot, festivities and events for all ages are planned from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Union Depot Station, Central Station, Western Ave Station, Victoria Street Station, Hamline Ave Station, Raymond Ave Station, Stadium Village Station, and West Bank Stations.
You have the chance to help make the launch a great success by volunteering! We are looking for volunteers for the Western, Victoria, Hamline, Raymond, Stadium Village, and West Bank Stations. Shifts are available all day, in the morning, and in the afternoon. Volunteers will help to great station visitors and staff activity areas. This is a great opportunity to get involved in the community and celebrate the launch of the new Green Line. Contact Cat Beltmann at Cat[at]SoGoodConsulting.org if you are interested in volunteering.
