Connect through purpose.
"There's energy, energy, and more energy around issues that matter. It's amazing how willing people are to make this a part of their lives." -YNPN-TC Board Member
We have the busiest and most exciting year on record coming up for our YNPN chapter. You'll connect with a group of smart, passionate, engaged fellow board members around shared work you all believe in. Expect new friends.

Challenge to change.
"I have been pleasantly surprised by the personal support on the board and the tendency to push board members to expand their boundaries." -YNPN-TC Board Member
Serving on a board is an incredible professional development opportunity, and YNPN-TC's board is no exception. We continually ask how we can make our members and ourselves fitter, happier, and more productive. Expect to be challenged.

Lead together.
"We have shared authority to try what we want and have a true culture of learning and shared leadership. Failure, when it happens, is an opportunity to learn at YNPN-TC." -YNPN-TC Board Member

YNPN-TC blows up the box. Whether it's innovative programming, snazzy communications, radical membership engagement, or unconventional governance models, we lead every day. But never alone. We know we're better together, and value collaboration and diverse perspectives in our membership and on our board. Expect to play well with others.

Join the YNPN-TC board.
If this sounds up your alley consider applying for the YNPN-TC board. New board members will serve a renewable two-year term beginning in January 2014 and contribute 12-18 hours a month to the organization's work. Applications are live on our website now and due September 30, 2013.

Not sure?
Check out a recent blog on what your board service could look like, another on what our 2013 board has been up to this year, or grab a current board member at the next event you attend. We would love to talk to you about our experiences on the board, and answer any questions you may have. You can also always email Lauren at info@ynpntwincities.org and she'll fill you in on everything you need to know!
