You're Invited | Mission Possible: Don't Let Insecurities Sabotage Your Job Search

This past weekend, we kicked off the first workshop for the 2012 LOTT Fellows program, and were delighted at the great matches the collegiate and emerging women leaders have made with their mid-career and beyond mentors! With a morning program focused on leveraging and honing strengths, we acknowledged that rabbits should not feel bad for being unable to fly but instead can work to increase their natural running skills and speed. With this foundation of confience, we can turn to the lessons of the upcoming Mission Possible: Don't Let Insecurities Sabotage Your Job Search panel, which yours truly is excited to be hosting with some amazing women leaders. Join us later this month, men and women alike, to consider how to overcome insecurities and make great first (and lasting) impressions!

Mission Possible: Don't Let Insecurities Sabotage Your Job Search will be held Tuesday, February 28, 2012. Attendees will be given the opportunity to hear from employment experts and receive advice on how to overcome their insecurities and make a great impression. The information from this panel is applicable to anyone in their career field, whether they are just beginning their job search or transitioning to a new position.

The following speakers will serve on the panel: Stacy Doepner-Hove – LWVMN President, Director of the Master's Program in Human Resources and Industrial Relations at University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management; Sally McGraw – Already Pretty Blogger/Body Image Writer; Mishel Horta – Diversity Coordinator at Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi L.L.P.; and Abigail Lessnau - HR Generalist at Cummins Power Generation. Diane Tran - Project Manager at Grassroots Solutions, Former LWVMN Board Member, and LOTT AC Member will serve as the moderator.
