Un/Conference 2011: Friendly Faces

Curious to know who you'll see at the upcoming Minnesota Rising 2011 Un/Conference? Today we profile Ami Wazlawik, who will be attending her second Un/Conference on Saturday, October 22. See below for more about Ami and look for her friendly face at this year's event!
Ami is in the second and final year of her Master’s of Public Policy program at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, where she is focusing on social policy and prevention science. She is interested in the intersection of prevention and policy, particularly in the idea of focusing our policy and funding decisions on prevention –based efforts, in hopes that we can help improve people’s lives while using our limited financial resources in more cost-effective ways.

Ami has spent a good amount of her time working with children and in the domestic/sexual violence field. She is currently a board member for the Young Progressive Majority Minnesota and the Minnesota chapter of the National Organization for Women. Ami loves to talk about anything and everything, so if you see her around don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation.
