You're Invited: STLF Glory Days Tour!
Kudos to Josh Reimnitz for sharing the good word (below) about the inaugural and upcoming Students Today Leaders Forever (STLF) Glory Days Tour and for generally being a fun guy! Don't miss your chance to take part in a weekend Tour from Minneapolis, MN, to Chicago, IL, filled with opportunities for making friends and having fun. The Tour is open to STLF Alumni who are at least a year out of college and other interested do-gooders!

STLF is doing this stellar thing (among many other stellar things) called the Glory Days Tour. It's basically a Pay It Forward Tour for young professionals, adults, alumni, etc. It's a three-day excursion from Minneapolis to Madison to Chicago doing service, hanging out, and having a couple facilitated activities throughout the trip.
It should be ridiculously fun and a good chance to meet some amazing new peeps. The cost $450 which includes all but one meal a day and a tax-deductible donation to STLF.We've got a great group already, 23 peeps, and we're starting our push to past alumni but I wanted to make sure to extend the invitation to others around the Twin Cities!

Accepting Applications: 2011-2012 Humphrey Policy Fellows
Hat tip to Leah Lundquist for passing on word that applications are now being accepted for the 2011-2012 Policy Fellows program at the University of Minnesota’s Humphrey School of Public Affairs. A 2006-2007 Humphrey Policy Fellow, I highly recommend the program as an opportunity to further develop your leadership skills, engage on critical political and societal issues with policymakers and community leaders, and create friendships across sectors and the state that can expand your horizons and that may be your some of your best relationships yet!

Now in its 21st year, the Policy Fellows program brings together emerging leaders from business, government, and nonprofit sectors to hone their leadership skills, build their professional networks, and learn how to tackle the "common good" challenges facing our state and nation. As part of a 35-person cohort, Fellows meet monthly between September and June for full-day workshops and seminars; design and implement group projects on topics of their choosing; and participate in a three-day study trip to Washington, D.C.
Emerging and mid-career leaders throughout the state of Minnesota are welcome to apply. The application and two recommendation letters are due June 1, 2011 for the nine-month program beginning in September.
More information about program costs and content can be found on our website:
